My name is David Kolinsky. I am a retired physician living outside Dallas, Texas. I make tiktok videos of me singing synagogue z'mirot and prayers.A few weeks ago, a 20 something Palestinian man living in Jordan began following and expressed interest in converting to Judaism. After a number of conversations about Judaism, he began to tell me about people that he knew who were involved with previous terrorist activites and about people who he believed were planning future terrorist activities. We became friends on facebook and he began sending messages and pictures about these people.
I have sent these messages to the Mossad via their website portal, but I have no idea if they have received them. It is not like I have any expectation that they would reach out to me. Nor am I even interested in being the middle man here conveying these messages. But I am obviously not going to ignore information that could possibly save the lives of my fellow Jews in Israel.I think that he has two motivations. First, as he said, he doesn't want any Jews to be hurt. But also, I think that he hopes to gain favor from the Israeli authorities so that he can move to Israel and convert to Judaism. Personally, I am not convinced that his interest in Judaism is religious-spiritual rather than political.
