Hi Reeves,
can you also remind me for our records what you and John stated during your visit with regard to why it would not make sense for Israel to file an amicus brief in this case. The plaintiffs wanted a brief which said that it is a
jus cogens violation of international law for a corporation to fund terrorism.
I need a quick email response on this today, if possible.
Thanks,
Marlene

Subject: Arab Bank Question
Dear Reeves,
We noted this development which was recently reported in the news
http://www.reuters.com/article/arab-bank-settlement-idUSL2N1IJ00J.
Can you explain whether and how this development might effect the question which the Supreme Court just certified? As you may recall from our conversations in Israel, we are due to
get out our response to the plaintiffs' lawyers who wanted us to submit an amicus brief (so far we are deciding not to intervene).
Marlene
