Dear Carol,
Thanks very much for reaching out. We'll look into your questions and get back to you shortly.
In the meantime, I thought I'd just check to see if you've already completed the Bar Association's Hebrew exam for foreign trained attorneys, as I understand
it's a prerequisite to begin any internship.
Best regards,
Arie

Subject: Legal intern
Hi Arie
I am interested in the legal intern position. However I have applied before and then after all the waiting for the security clearance etc i was told that they didn't realize that my Hebrew was so basic and I would not be able to succeed
without adequate Hebrew.
So I don't waste anyone's time, I have done 5 months basic ulpan in 2015 and my Hebrew hasn't improved much since then as I always work in an English environment out of necessity.
Also, what is the salary?
I have 5 years experience as a self-employed advocate and Member of the Cape Bar. This knowledge, experience and competence is being wasted jere as I cannot practice law without completing an internship and passing the Dnei Yisrael exams
so I am forced to work in low skilled clerical positions where English is required. The long hours I work just make it impossible at present for me to spend time learning Hebrew.
Your response would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Kind regards
