Dear Yonina
Thank you for the e mail. It would be extremely useful to review the transcripts though we may have some difficulties getting them translated in Kenya (this is our issue however). They will only be used as per your specifications, there is no requirement to disclose material to suspects until such time as have been charged and appeared in court and we are some way from that being the situation.
I think the meeting proposal sounds like an appropriate way forward, the interviews are noted, that can potentially be done at a later stage.
Can I provide you with names for a letter of invitation to allow them to make the visa applications?
Best wishes
Simon

Good morning,
We have received authorization from our prosecutors to transfer the transcripts of the interviews to you provided you are able to assure us that they will not be transferred to the suspects, their representatives or to any third party at this time as we are still processing the case here in Israel (is there a requirement in your legal system to expose the documents to the suspects/representatives?). Please note that they are in Hebrew and would need translation.
If your team would like to come for a meeting to review the materials we have in the case (they are in Hebrew, some of our team could explain what you are looking at and this may help pinpoint things that are relevant for your case with in the abundance of materials collected) we will be able to arrange a few days for this between 21-31/7 at your convenience. We would not be able to schedule interviews during this meeting.
Please note that the Israeli team has interviewed all the people listed in your MLAT except Mr. Shaul Cohen, also note that Mr. Admoni was interviewed by our unit but has since died.
Best Regards,
Yonina

Dear Yonina
Many thanks for the response, that is noted. If you could advise dates as soon as possible it would be much appreciated, August and September will not be possible from this end.
Regarding the witnesses that is understood, if you could send the transcripts that would prove insightful. We would need their statements in a written form in English
Thanks
Simon

Dear Simon,
Due to prior operational commitments in the unit they will not be able to have your team over the second week of July. I have asked that they give me alternate dates and will hopefully have those within the next few days.
Please note that the people listed in your request do not reside permanently in Israel and therefore arranging interviews with them requires coordination time. We are looking into the logistics/ possibility of sending you the transcripts (or recordings) of the interviews our investigators conducted with these people as they may include the data required by you and thus eliminate the need for additional interview of that person.
Best Regards,
Yonina

Dear Yonina
Thank you for the mail, I think as per the conference call a few weeks ago the objectives are two fold:
1) To look at material obtained during the course of the investigation to determine what is relevant to the Kenya case
2) To interview the relevant witnesses and take statements
Ultimately we are in your hands and whilst we have estimated sending a team of five for about a week, we will welcome your guidance
Many thanks
Simon

Dear Simon,
I have contacted the investigating unit to check the dates.
Please tell us what your team would like to accomplish during their visit, so that we can properly asses the required time and see if the proposed dates will work.
Best Regards,
Yonina
