Thank you for renewing your Magnet IEF Software Maintenance & Support (SMS). The SMS subscription purchased is valid until 2020-11-30.

 

Step 1: Launch the latest version of IEF

The latest version can be downloaded from our Customer Portal located at https://support.magnetforensics.com/CommunitiesLogin or directly in the IEF software by selecting Tools-> Check for Updates in v6.0 or later.

 

Step 2: Add the attached license key file to the IEF dongle

Please find a license key file attached. The iefkey2.dat file will have to be placed on the root of the IEF dongle which you were provided. 

 

Our suggestion would be to save the attached license key file to a location on your desktop, and with the IEF dongle attached to the machine, please launch the latest version of IEF. 

 

From the toolbar select Licensing->Dongle licensing->Load IEF keyfile 

 

Click the Load Key button and browse to where you have saved the iefkey2.dat file. Select the iefkey2.dat file and click Open. If being placed on the proper IEF dongle, the Dongle Licensing window should populate with the appropriate details.

·        Most new releases include new features, bug fixes and updated artifact support, so make sure to upgrade to the newest version as soon as it’s released

Remember to renew your SMS subscription before the expiry date to maintain access to the newest IEF software upgrades, and avoid paying expired pricing.
