Dear Anna,

Further to the Commission's decisions to examine the feasibility of future work in the field of AI, smart contracts and hi-tech dispute resolution, and further to discussions we had last summer with Jae and Corinne, we've held informal discussions with our colleagues from the Czech Republic and Japan. Together, we have begun looking into the possibility of                co-organizing and event in Prague in order to study these topics in a more in-depth fashion, with experts from government, the private sector and academia. The idea would be to coordinate this with you so that it dovetails with UNCITRAL's digital economy agenda and can feed into Secretariat's work.

Before going any further in our discussions, we thought it would be important to update you, and to synchronize our planning with the UNCITRAL Secretariat. To that end, would you and/or members of the Secretariat be available for a conference call sometime next week, or the week after?

We hope to be able to talk to you on this before the holidays so we can get started right after, aiming for a one-day or one and a half-day in the first (spring) or second half (fall) of 2020.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Itai
