Ref.- Technical Visit to Israel of Mr. Bernard Menut - Main Short-Term Expert - for the preparation of the Research Report I: Procedural simplification in the ENPI South Partners Countries

Dear National Focal Point,

As previously communicated during the Opening Conference on last February 29th, as well as the Launch Meeting of the Research Report I - Procedural simplification in the ENPI South Partners Countries that took place in Paris on April 20, 2012, the main short-term expert of the Euromed Justice III Project, Mr. Menut, copied to this email, will make a one-day technical visit to each of the ENPI South Partner Countries.

As you know, the purpose of this visit is to enable the expert to have a clear image and a perfect understanding of the answers and information delivered in each questionnaire, and, hence, of the specific features and peculiarities of each judicial and legal system. Through these technical visits, the expert will moreover have the possibility to make an on-the-spot assessment of the concepts, figures and information provided in the questionnaires, which would allow to jointly resolve, alongside the persons in charge of the elaboration of the questionnaires, any doubts, queries, misunderstandings or clarifications that could still arise.

Please let me also stress, once again, on the importance, whenever possible and convenient for you, to assign the tasks of the elaboration of the questionnaire to the participant(s) who were designated to assist to the Launch Meeting of the Research Report I (Mr. Daniel Raz, Mrs. Iman Naseralden and Mr. Tomer Carmi).

The proposed date for the elaboration of the study visit to Israel, taking intoconsideration the Jewish and Israeli holidays and the expert's availability and work schedule, is June 10th, bearing in mind that the fixed deadline for the reception of the questionnaires from the ENPI South NFPs is next June 15th.

Please let us know your reaction/response to this suggested date. Israel would be the first destination for the technical visits to the ENPI South, since from there Mr. Menut will proceed to making the visit to the Palestinian Authority, so it is very important to conclude the date ASAP since this would condition the organisation and planning of the rest of the foreseen visits.

As usual, we stay at your full disposal in case you need any further information, or have any request, on this issue.
