Dear Heads of EUROPE II FIUs,

We hope this email finds you well.

We are happy to inform you that within the 6 weeks nomination period, two colleagues from EUROPE II Regional Group submitted written nominations expressing the desire and suitability to be considered for the post of new Regional Representative, who should finish the mandate of the previous one - Mr. Philippe BOISBOUVIER, namely:

• Mrs. Oxana Gisca - Head of Supervision and Compliance Division of FIU Moldova;
• Mr. Željko Radovanović - Director of FIU Serbia.

You may find attached the written nominations, confirming also that there are sufficient resources in their “home” FIUs to enable the nominees to satisfy the role and responsibilities of the post.  

Please note that the nominations will be considered during the EUROPE II meeting in Strasbourg (Wednesday, December 4th, 2019) and the Regional Representative selected by the Regional Group will be presented to the Egmont Committee for endorsement later that or the next week.

As you were already informed, unfortunately Mr. Philippe BOISBOUVIER decided to leave his position in FIU Monaco (SICCFIN) and therefore (in accordance with Chapter C, Section V of the Charter) he is not longer eligible to continue his mandate as a Regional Representative of the EUROPE II Regional  Group.

We would like to thank Mr. BOISBOUVIER for his contribution to Egmont Group throughout the years and wish him great success in his new endeavors.

Based on the aforementioned, the Egmont EUROPE II Regional Group will have to select one new Regional Representative to finish the mandate of Mr. BOUISBOUVIER.  The selection process will take place during the next regional meeting in Strasbourg (December 2019).

On September 10th, 2019, the Executive Secretary launched a call for nominations for eligible candidates, which attached to this communication.

Please send nominations to the Executive Secretary of the Egmont Group, through Egmont Secure Web, at jerome.beaumont@egmont.org. The deadline for nominations is October 23rd, 2019 (COB Ottawa time).
