Dear Members of the EUROPE II Region,
I hope this email finds you well.
As you may recall, during the Hague meeting in July 2019, the HoFIU approved the attached EG Communication Strategy 2019-2021 Memorandum. This Strategy outlines the EG’s communications objectives, its core audiences and the tools and methods the Group will utilize to achieve its goals. It also includes core communications guidelines for the benefit of EG members.
As stated in paragraph 6 of the above-mentioned Memorandum, the EGS, with support from the Egmont Committee’s External Communications Reference Group (CRG), would develop an extended Communication Guidelines document to support new and future Communications Strategies. For that purpose, please find attached a first draft of the document for your review and comments. The EGS and the CRG are specifically interested in whether the Guidelines make sense for the EUROPE II members and if the proposed Guidelines clearly establish the line of communication between the EC and the HoFIU.
Please note that the CRG is not looking for the approval of the Communication Guidelines at this stage. The aim is to receive comments in order to finalize the Guidelines which will be shared with the HoFIU for final endorsement at a later stage.
I will appreciate your comments by Monday, September 7th 2020.
