Dear Heads of FIU,

I hope this message finds you well and safe.

Mr. Leopoldo Quirόs informed me earlier this month regarding his departure from the Head of FIU Ecuador on June 8th and would not be able to continue his role as the Chair of the Technical Assistance and Training Working Group (TATWG). Consistent with Section 6.4.C of the EG Charter, Article V para 5 of the TATWG Internal Procedures, and acknowledged by the TATWG members, Mr. Amr Rashed (Head of International Cooperation, FIU Egypt) will continue as TATWG Chair for the unexpired term. The information was communicated with members of the TATWG and then to the Egmont Committee for endorsement.

I am glad to inform you that the Egmont Committee has endorsed Mr. Amr Rashed as the TATWG Chair until January 2022 when the new Chair is selected.
