Dear Colleagues,

This correspondence is a formal notification to kindly advise you that the Egmont Group Secretariat has not received your 2019 Biennial Census submission. The first deadline to submit a completed census was 3 December 2019.  

The Egmont Group Biennial Census is an important tool that supports international cooperation and the exchange of information among Egmont Group member FIUs and advances the fight against money laundering and terror financing. The Census is also a Charter obligation and all members must complete it in an accurate and timely manner (see article 4.1, letter B of the Charter).

The Egmont Group Secretariat launched the 2019 Egmont Group Biennial Census on 2 September 2019, allowing FIUs 90 days to complete. Unfortunately, your FIU has yet to complete its Charter obligation by submitting the Egmont Group Census in a timely and accurate manner.

Therefore, we kindly request you to submit your Egmont Group Census within seven (7) days of receiving this notification. We strongly encourage you to complete the Egmont Group Census within the next seven (7) days to avoid any further compliance procedures. Please be informed that your Census should be uploaded in the dedicated ESW 2019 Biennial Census Application. Please find attached the 2019 EBC Quick Reference Guide that would guide you through the process.

As some of our members reported technical issues generating errors when submitting their Census, please do not hesitate to contact the Egmont Support (ESW email) Egmont.Support@egmont.org should you experience technical difficulties with any of the questions in the EBC or with uploading your submission.
