** Letter on behalf of the Executive Secretary**
Dear Heads of EUROPE II FIUs,
Our organization will select one new Regional Representative of the Europe II Regional Group, following the vacancy created by the departure of Mr. Daniel THELESKLAF, from his position in FIU Switzerland (MROS). The newly selected Regional Representative will have a two-year term (in accordance with the Egmont Charter - Section 6.5-C), until the Egmont Group Plenary in July 2022. Given the current circumstances, the selection procedure will take place out-of-session, using virtual meetings only if necessary.
Consistent with the Voting Rules for the Election of Regional Representatives, the Executive Secretary is hereby requesting nominations for one EUROPE II Regional Representative position. The position is opened to any Head of FIU, or a suitable senior representative, from the FIUs in the Europe II Regional Group. Interested candidates are invited to submit a written nomination, in the form of a letter, indicating the desire and suitability to be considered for the post. The nomination letter should also contain a written commitment confirming that there are sufficient resources in the candidate’s FIU to enable him/her to satisfy the role and responsibilities of the post.
In instances where an application is being made by a suitable senior FIU representative other than the Head of FIU, the nomination must be sent in writing from the Head of FIU, underlining the seniority of the nominee within the FIU and his/her suitability for the post of Regional Representative.
