**Letter on behalf of the EG Chair - Ms. Hennie VERBEEK-KUSTERS**
Dear HoFIU
I hope this letter finds you well.
I would like to inform you that August 30th was the final deadline for collecting your comments and endorsement of the IEWG Report on ML from Serious Tax Crimes: enhancing Financial Intelligence Units’ detection capacities and fostering information exchange, its Public Bulletin and the dissemination strategy.
Within the deadline we received your full support to the endorsement of the above-mentioned documents. Some editorial changes were suggested and will be reflected in the final product. However, they are not going to change the substance, the analysis or the conclusions presented in the Report and the Public Bulletin. Therefore, within the authority granted to me by the Charter (Section 6.2-B-2 – The Chair builds consensus within the Egmont Group), I would like to conclude the consensus within Egmont Group to endorse the following documents:
The above-mentioned products will be soon available on the ESW. In accordance with the approved dissemination strategy the report can be shared with member FIUs, relevant competent domestic public authorities and policymakers, EG Observers, and selected International Partners (e.g. OECD). The Public Bulletin will be uploaded to the EG website.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the IEWG project team for the excellent work done.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Hennie VERBEEK-KUSTERS – Chair of Egmont Group
