We hope this e-email finds you well.
After taking into consideration the international situation caused by COVID-19 and the recommendations made by the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as by the Government of Mexico, the FIU-Mexico has implemented special measures.
Recently, Mexican health authorities declared our country has advanced into the second stage known as community transmission. In this regard, to mitigate the spread of the virus and preserve the health and integrity of all the persons, we will be working with
a reduced staff.
In that sense, please be informed that any requests or information to be sent to FIU-Mexico may be subject to delays in providing prompt responses. Our best efforts will be made to ensure adequate and timely responses to the best extent possible.

Dear EGS and colleagues,
Due to the challenges posed by COVID-19, Government of Uganda has put in place measures to limit the chances of its spread, including social distancing. Accordingly,via a Presidential Directive, issued on 25th March, 2020 , all Government Agencies are required
to scale down operations. The Financial Intelligence Authority,Uganda in compliance with this Directive has accordingly scaled down on staff numbers physically coming to office by advising them to work from home, with effect from Monday, 30th March,2020 for
a period, ranging from 2 weeks to one month depending on whether or not the staff members are in the essential category or not.This will be reviewed, as and when new Government Directives are issued. This may therefore negatively impact on our response times.
However we undertake to do our best to respond as soon as we practically can.
