Dear Colleagues,
We trust you are well.
In July 2018, the Egmont Committee requested the Policy and Procedures Working Group (PPWG) to look into the Support and Compliance Process - Procedural Trigger 4 and identify ways in which it can be improved, to ensure it achieves its main goal of identifying members experiencing problems in the timely exchange of relevant information and providing targeted support to help them address their deficiencies.
For these purposes, please find attached a survey developed by the PPWG Project Team led by FIU Isle of Man and FIU Lebanon, focused on better understanding the reasons behind the high rate of FIUs not meeting the benchmarks set by the HoFIU for the purposes of the Procedural Trigger 4. Your efforts in answering the survey and submitting your replies to sorin.gabor@egmont.org, before Friday, May 3rd, 2019 (COB), are highly appreciated.
This survey is an opportunity for Egmont FIUs to ensure that the SCP provides for equal treatment for all the members of the organizations and supports them in enhancing their operations to fight ML/FT threats, especially as regards international
cooperation. The survey is not to be used in any way for compliance purposes and all the information included by the project team in the final report and recommendations to the HoFIU will be anonymized.
Best regards,
The Egmont Group Secretariat
