Dear colleagues,

We trust you are well!

Please be informed that the deadline for providing your replies regarding template 1 to the EGS (nedko.krumov@egmont.org) is May 20th, 2019.

We would like to thank those FIUs that already provided their replies and to kindly remind the other regional members about the deadline. Please let us know if we can assist you with this topic.

Thank you very much in advance for your cooperation.

Kind regards,

EGS

Letter on behalf of the project team

Dear EUROPE II members,

We hope this letter find you well and healthy!

As you recall, during the last EUROPE II meeting in Strasbourg in December 2019, the region decided to officially launch one of the projects included in the EUROPE II Regional Plan (2018 – 2021), namely to collect data about open source and searchable databases in the jurisdictions of the region. Another feature of these databases is that they should be accessible free of charge (maintained either by governments or private sector entities).

In order to guarantee the successful completion of the project and not overwhelm regional FIUs with extra work during this period of crisis, the project team which is composed by FIU Serbia, MROS Switzerland, FIU Azerbaijan, and FIU Bosnia and Herzegovina, is kindly asking you to provide at minimum the following information by filling-out template 1 (attached):

  1. Details about the domestic company register/s (name of the register; internet link/s; institution which maintains this/these register/s; description of the accessible data in this/these register/s; and the language in which the data is available in the register/s) in you jurisdiction;
  2. Information if there is freely accessible register/s or other database/s where beneficial ownership information can be made available (name of the register/s or database/s; internet link/s; institution which maintains it; description of the accessible data; and the language in which the data is available) in you jurisdiction;
  3. Details about the domestic TF list – if any (name of the database; internet link; institution which maintains this database; description of the accessible data there; and the language in which the data is available) in you jurisdiction;

All EUROPE II members (that are having the necessary technical abilities and resources) are encouraged to follow the good example of FIU Serbia (please see attached) and provide more than the minimum requested information by giving data for all freely accessible, open source and searchable databases.

  • For those FIUs who can provide only the minimum requested information, please complete template 1;

  • For those FIUs who can provide with the full list of freely accessible, open source and searchable databases, available in their jurisdiction, please complete template 1 and template 2;

You are kindly required to return completed template 1 to the EGS (nedko.krumov@egmont.org) by May 20th, 2019.

Those FIUs that will decide to also complete template 2 are kindly required  to return it back to the EGS (nedko.krumov@egmont.org) by June 10th, 2019.

Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Kind regards,

EUROPE II
