Dear Heads of FIU,

 

I hope this email finds you well.

 

I would like to update you on the selection of the new ECOFEL Program Manager (EPM).

 

After receiving more than 18 applications and conducting several rounds of selection, the shortlisted EPM candidates were interviewed on February 17^th. Including myself, the interview panel was comprised of:

• Mrs. Hennie Verbeek-Kusters (interim Egmont Group Chair);
• Mr. Bernardo Mota (Chair of the TATWG & Convener of the ECOFEL Reference Group) and;
• Mr. Sergio Espinosa (Regional Representative for the Americas Region).

I would like to thank the entire panel very much for their availability and help on this matter.

 

At the end of the interviews, the panel unanimously selected Ms. Silvina Rivarola, the former Director of Financial Information Unit of Argentina’s International Affairs Division. Ms. Rivarola will join the EGS in Ottawa on April 6^th.

 

The handover between Ms. Rivarola and the interim EPM, Mr. Mark van Thiel, has already started to ensure a smooth transition.

I want to underline how instrumental Mark has been to ECOFEL during his tenure as interim EPM. I thank him for his hard work and accomplishments and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
