Dear Heads of FIU,
I trust you are well.
Thank you all for the positive response and valuable input to the Overhaul of the 2021 EBC Memorandum.
I am happy to inform you that the Secretariat received only positive feedback supporting the two recommendations proposed for the 2021 EBC Overhaul.
I would like to also thank those FIUs that in addition to the endorsement of the Overhaul provided with suggestions and general comments for the preparation of the 2021 EBC questionnaire itself. I would like to assure these FIUs that their suggestions and comments will be taken into consideration during the process of the development of the new EBC.
Based on the aforementioned, and within the authority granted to me by the Charter (Section 6.2-B-2 – The Chair builds consensus within the Egmont Group), I would like to conclude that there is consensus among the HoFIU for the endorsement of the Overhaul of the 2021 EBC.
As per the recommendation in the out-of-session endorsement MEMO, the work on the development and launch of the 2021 EBC should start following the timelines provided within the approved concept note prepared by the EC Information Management Reference Group.
