** Letter on behalf of the EUROPE II RRs**

Dear members of the EUROPE II Regional Group,

We trust you are well!

At the beginning of May 2021, the external contractor hired to conduct market research on infrastructure options and IT solutions for a secure email system, and a groupware platform (Ernst & Young, hereafter: EY) delivered their report. The paper is attached to the current email for your reference.

The report was first submitted to the EC Steering Group for discussion in substance. The Steering Group was able to do so during a specific meeting. During the meeting, the group members agreed that the quality of the report is sufficient and can be moved forward for EC discussion.

In conformity with the previous practice followed within the EG IT review process, before the EC discussion and the subsequent HoFIU meetings take place, the EC Steering Group would like to engage with you to explore the following:

  • If any high-level concerns should be considered before requesting the HoFIU to approve the report and agree with the next steps of the process.

Please bear in mind that this request is for high-level issues only. The budgetary prognosis will be discussed by the HoFIU (as per the Charter, this is part of their mandate). Moreover, the technical aspects of the report are prerogative to the EC Steering Group, supported by the IEWG IT Professionals, which were already contacted.

Due to the short timelines for the HoFIU approval of the report and the next steps, your feedback will be highly appreciated by May 27th at the latest to Nedko.krumov@egmont.org or Nedko.krumov@egmontsecretariat.org.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Astghik and Oxana.
