Dear Heads of Egmont Group FIUs,
I hope this email finds you well.
Following up on the call for nominations launched September 20 (available below), and in accordance with the provisions of the Voting Rules for the Election of Working Group Chairs and Vice-Chairs, I am pleased to inform you about the nominations for the positions of Working Groups Chairs and Vice Chairs, received at the Egmont Group Secretariat, by the December 6th deadline:
The Working Groups will select their Chairs and Vice Chairs during the meetings in Mauritius (28/29 January 2020), when each nominee will have the opportunity to present her/his candidacy.
I would like to express my gratitude to the above-mentioned nominees for their readiness to step up and take this important responsibility. Their commitment to the work of the Egmont Group is prominent for the current and future work of our organization.

Dear Heads of FIUs,
We trust you are well.
As our organization is going to select new Chairs and Vice Chairs of Working Groups during the next Egmont Group (EG) Meetings in Mauritius (January 27-30, 2020). The Executive Secretary launched a call for nominations for eligible candidates on September 20, 2019 for following positions:
Working Group
CHAIR
VICE CHAIR
Information Exchange Working Group (IEWG)
1
2 or more (one of which will be responsible for the ESW Governance and IT matters and therefore should have an IT background or interest)
Membership, Support and Compliance Working Group (MSCWG)
0 (MSCWG selected the new Chair for a 2-year term in The Hague-July 2019)
2 or more
Policy and Procedures Working Group (PPWG)
1
1 or more
Technical Assistance and Training Working Group (TATWG)
1
1 or more
The positions are open to any Head of FIU, or a suitable senior representative, from the member FIUs. Interested candidates are invited to submit a written nomination, in the form of a letter, indicating the desired position and the specific Working Group for which they apply. The letter should contain a written commitment confirming there are sufficient resources in the candidate’s FIU to enable him/her to satisfy the role and responsibilities of the post.
In instances where an application is being made by a suitable senior FIU representative rather than a Head of FIU, the nomination must be sent in writing from their Head of FIU and must explain clearly how the candidate belongs to the leadership of the FIU and how s/he is suitable for the post.
The call for nominations for eligible candidates is posted on the Spotlight section of ESW, and on the respective Working Group community pages.
Please send nominations to the Executive Secretary of the Egmont Group, through Egmont Secure Web, at jerome.beaumont@egmont.org. The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 6, 2019 (COB Ottawa time).
