Dear IEWG members,
We hope this letter finds you well!
After the very fruitful and productive meeting in Sydney, where we took on board two new projects, we would like to provide to your attention an information sharing template regarding one of these two projects, namely: FIU Typologies on Money Laundering
of the Proceeds of Corruption (attached).
As you know, this project is based on a decision made by the HoFIU (in Buenos Aires, March 2018), according to which IEWG is tasked to take on board this typology work. In the past, IEWG conducted a stocktaking exercise (in February 2018) and collected 30
sanitized cases from 27 FIUs. These sanitized cases will serve as basis for the typology research but after analyzing them the project team decided that the information provided in February will not be sufficient to successfully complete the project and keep
the high-quality standards which IEWG set with its previous projects.
Therefore, on behalf of the project team, we would like to kindly ask all IEWG members to complete the attached information collection template and provide responses
by the close of business on 03 December 2018 via Egmont Secure Web to:
