Dear Heads of FIU,
I hope this email finds you well.
We are happy to inform you that the Information Management Reference Group of the Egmont Committee, together with the external consultant and the EGS have prepared a final version of the new Egmont Bienniel
Census (EBC) Questionnaire.
The new Census has been drafted in line with the provisions of the Strategic Framework approved by the HoFIU in February 2021 (see below).
A brief memo describing the background, the changes introduced to the Questionnaire and the proposed technical changes to the functionalities
of the EBC Application on the ESW is attached for your reference.
The document has been reviewed by the Egmont Committee from the quality and consistency perspective and was subsequently approved by the Committee.
It is anticipated that the implementation phase of the EBC overhaul project (implementing technical changes and testing of the new EBC questionnaire
on the IT platform) that will require the involvement of FinCEN, will begin in June 2021 with the aim to launch the new EBC cycle in September 2021.
Please find attached the new EBC Questionnaire for your review and endorsement. Should you have any comments or concerns, please kindly let us know by Thursday, June 3rd, 2021.

Dear HoFIU,
I hope this letter finds you well and healthy.
I would like to inform you that February 12th was the final deadline for collecting your comments and endorsement of the Strategic Framework for the 2021 Egmont Biennial Census Overhaul, developed by the Information Management Reference Group and the EGS and supported by an external consultant.
Within the deadline provided no opposition was expressed to the endorsement of the Strategic Framework. Therefore, within the authority granted to me by the EG Charter, I would like to conclude the consensus within the Egmont Group to endorse the above-mentioned document.
I would like to take this opportunity and thank the parties involved in this project for their hard work.
