Dear Colleagues,
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I am leaving my position as the Head of the Financial Monitoring Center of the Central Bank of Armenia (FMC). I will be serving in a new capacity within the Central Bank of Armenia.
For the past twelve years, I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity of leading the FMC through its infancy up to this point, where it has transformed into a professional and capable Financial Intelligence Unit. I leave my current position, filled with satisfaction, proud of our achievements and honored to have been a part of the global coalition against money laundering and terrorist financing.
I would also like to inform you that my colleague, who I am sure, most of you already know, Mr. Arakel Meliksetyan has been appointed as the new Head of the FMC. I have no doubt that he will lead the FMC to further levels of mutual trust and stringent cooperation with the counterpart FIUs.
I would like to thank you for every experience shared, friendship made and the remarkable times that we have been blessed to have had together.
