Dear Heads of FIU,
As you are aware, last 11 December FIU Switzerland (MROS) advised that Mr. Stiliano Ordolli resigned from his position as Head of this organization in order to engage in a new professional challenge.
This is certainly a great loss for the Egmont Group community. Over the years Stiliano has shown a strong commitment to the fight against ML and TF, both at the national level as Head of MROS and also at the Egmont Group level, first as Regional Representative for the Europe II Region and recently as Chair of the Membership Support and Compliance Working Group (MSCWG), a position that has been left vacant. His hard work, loyalty, work ethic and leadership will be missed by all his colleagues, especially in the Egmont Committee. Please rest assured that soon we will share our gratitude and appreciation to Stiliano using the appropriate channels.
Regarding the vacancy in the position of the MSCWG Chair, please be advised that according to its Rules on Internal Procedures, this working group has confirmed one of its Vice-Chairs, Ms. Silvina Rivarola (FIU Argentina), as Acting Chair of the MSCWG until a new selection process is held in The Hague (July 2019).
We would also like to thank the FIU Argentina and Silvina for stepping in under these extraordinary circumstances. We are convinced that under Silvina’s leadership, and with the support of the two other Vice Chairs, Mr. Ahmed Elbashari (FinCEN) and Abdelsattar (FIU Egypt), the MSCWG will successfully continue performing its important tasks.
