Dear Heads of FIU,

As you are already aware, recently the Membership, Support and Compliance Working Group (MSCWG) conducted the process for selecting its new Chair following the vacancy created by the departure of Mrs. Silvina Rivarola from her position in FIU Argentina.

Consistent with the Voting rules for the selection of Working Group Chairs and Vice Chairs and the MSCWG Rules on Internal Procedures (both attached) on 13 October the MSCWG regular members were invited to cast their vote for the selection of the new MSCWG Chair, which resulted in the election of  Mr. Manoj Kaushik (Additional Director of FIU India) as new MSCWG Chair. Consistent with paragraph 26 of the Voting Rules, the Egmont Committee was then invited to endorse this selection

I am glad to inform that the Egmont Committee has endorsed the selection of Mr. Manoj Kaushik for the position of MSCWG Chair, which will have a two-year term (in accordance with the Egmont Charter - Section 6.4-C) until the Egmont Group Plenary in July 2022.

I would like to congratulate both the MSCWG and Mr. Manoj Kaushik for this selection. In addition, I would like to thank Mr. Abdelsattar Elnajar, who has been acting as Interim Chair of the MSCWG since February 2020, for his tremendous contribution to the work of both the MSCWG and Egmont Committee during all these months.
