Dear MSCWG Members,

We hope this email finds you well. As you may recall, the Membership, Support and Compliance Working Group (MSCWG) will select its new Chair during the upcoming Egmont meetings in The Hague, the Netherlands. For that purpose, and based on our attached internal procedures, last 1 April 2019 the Executive Secretary launched a call for nominations for the position, which deadline was 17 June 2019.

We are happy to announce that during this period the Executive Secretary received the following written nomination expressing the desire and suitability to be considered for the position of MSCWG Chair:

  • From Mrs. Silvina Rivarola, Director of the International Affairs Division, FIU Argentina

You will find attached the written nomination of Mrs. Rivarola, confirming also that there are sufficient resources in their “home” FIU to enable the nominee to satisfy the roles and responsibilities for the post.  In addition, you will also find attached the following documents:

  • Description and Mandates of the Working Groups (including the MSCWG)
  • MSCWG Rules on Internal Procedures
  • Voting Rules for the Election of Chair and Vice Chairs

Please note that the nomination for the positions of MSCWG Chair will be considered during the next MSCWG meeting in The Hague (Tuesday, 2 July 2019). Furthermore, the selected MSCWG Chair will be endorsed by the Egmont Committee and presented to the HoFIU later that week.
