I hope this message finds you well.
Following the HoFIU decision to postpone the Senegal meetings until the beginning of 2022 and to organize the 2021 Egmont Group Meetings virtually, the EGS, in coordination with the Egmont Committee, kindly invites you to save the following dates:
Egmont Committee Meeting
The Egmont Committee will meet virtually on January 26th and 27th, 2021, to discuss important strategic matters and address cross-cutting issues as mandated by the HoFIU and the Egmont Group Charter (section 6.3-A). The meeting is for EC members only. Egmont Group members will have the opportunity to voice any comment on the EC agenda items through their Regional Representatives.
Working Group Meetings
The Working Group Chairs decided to convene Working Group meetings as follows:
Regional Group Meeting Meetings
Seven Egmont Regional Groups meetings will take place throughout March 2021, including:
The EGS team is working with the Working Group Chairs and Regional Representatives on detailed meeting programs, which will be communicated in due course. An online registration system for the virtual meetings will be made available.
Documents for relevant meetings will be accessible in the Document Library of the Egmont Committee, Working Groups and Regional Groups Communities in Egmont Secure Web (ESW) beginning December 18th, 2020. The IEWG will be able to pilot test a cloud solution, which would allow members of the group to access and work collaboratively on non-sensitive documents. Documents marked “3 FIU Use Only” will be made available only through ESW. If the testing proves successful, the solution will be offered to other working/regional groups as well.
