Dear colleagues,
First, let me thank you heartily for your support and trust in selecting me as Regional Representative for the Europe II region.
It is a great honor to represent all 23 FIUs of the region at the Egmont Committee by contributing towards the important goal of the Egmont Group, i.e. facilitation of the exchange of intelligence information between member FIUs, on money laundering, terrorist financing and associated predicate offences.
The skills and knowledge that I have accumulated through my service at the national FIU and international fora will unquestionably contribute and assist me in performing the tasks of the Regional Representative of the Europe II region. To that end, I will work closely with Ms. Oxana Gisca, the Regional Representative for Europe II, as well as with the relevant bodies of the Egmont Group.
To further current and future initiatives all aimed at fostering cooperation and communication within the region, I would be happy to receive input, at any time and in any form, concerns and issues in both national and regional context where member FIUs see room for improving the fight against ML/TF. It goes without saying that the outcomes of the elaborations within the region will be duly communicated to the Egmont Committee so as to provide voice to Europe II members by communicating and representing their views and the interests of the region.
