We were kindly asked by INTERPOL to disseminate to you the below invitation. It refers to one of their upcoming events. Please be kindly informed as follows:

Based on INTERPOL's cooperation with the UNODC, it was possible to secure a time slot and “Side-Event” in the upcoming 30th session of CCPCJ which will take place between 17 and 21 May 2021.

The title of the side event is  “INTERNATIONAL MONEY LAUNDERING NETWORKS: BUILDING AN EFFECTIVE FRAMEWORK TO TRACE, SEIZE AND RECOVER CRIMINAL PROCEEDS” and INTERPOL wants to raise awareness about the importance and necessity in regards to transnational asset-tracing, timely money interception as basis for a successful asset recovery.

The side-event is scheduled for Wednesday morning, 19 May 2021 and hosted/lead by UNODC Regional Office for South-East Asia and the Pacific, with Germany, Singapore and INTERPOL as co-host/co-sponsor. The flyer is attached to this message. Given that this upcoming CCPCJ session and aforementioned side event and topic might be of interest for Egmont Group, INTERPOL asked us to share this with our member FIUs.
