Tengo el agrado de hacer de su conocimiento que la Junta Monetaria de Guatemala mediante Resolución JM-84-2018, ha designado al Licenciado Saulo DE LEÓN DURÁN para fungir como Intendente de Verificación Especial de la Superintendencia de Bancos, quien tomó posesión del cargo a partir del 4 de octubre del año en curso, en sustitución del Licenciado Erick Estuardo RAMOS SOLOGAISTOA.	Please be advised that Guatemala's Monetary Board through Resolution JM-84-2018 has appointed Licenciado Saulo DE LEÓN DURÁN as Special Verification Intendant (Head of FIU of Guatemala), who took office as from October 4, 2018, in replacement of Licenciado Erick Estuardo RAMOS SOLOGAISTOA.

El Licenciado DE LEÓN DURÁN, es Abogado y Notario con Maestría en Administración de Empresas (MBA) en el INCAE con especialidad en Finanzas, de 2008 a 2010 fungió como Jefe de UIF liderando al equipo durante la Evaluación de Guatemala durante la Tercera Ronda de Evaluación por parte del GAFIC. Cuenta con experiencia en Banca, especializándose en temas regulatorios, administración de riesgos y AML Compliance. Adicionalmente, cuenta con experiencia en Asesoría Legal a empresas dedicadas a actividades reguladas.	Licenciado DE LEÓN DURÁN is a Lawyer and Notary with MBA in Finance from INCAE. He was Special Verification Intendant (Head of FIU of Guatemala) from 2008 to 2010, leading Guatemala’s team during Third Round of Assessment with CFATF. He has experience in banking, specializing in regulatory issues, risk management, and AML Compliance; as well as, experience as Legal Advisor to companies under regulated activities.
