Dear colleagues,

The Egmont Centre of FIU Excellence and Leadership (ECOFEL) would like to invite you to attend its online Europe II regional workshop entitled “Improving STR/SAR Quality”. The online workshop will take place on Wednesday May 19^th, and Thursday May 20^th, 2021 from 14:00 to 16:10 Eastern European Time. The sessions will be conducted in English only. Please find attached a preliminary agenda for this workshop.

This workshop will be the first of a series of regional workshops on this subject. Through these workshops, the ECOFEL aims to:

Enhance participant knowledge regarding the strengths of, and impediments to, eﬀective suspicious transaction reporting
Cover best practices and next steps for improving STR/SAR quality
Increase opportunities for collaborative partnerships between FIUs and reporting entities on investigative financial reporting

Upon the completion of the registration process, the ECOFEL will send out a link to attend the workshop to each participant.
