Dear Colleagues,

 

We hope this finds you well. With the upcoming Egmont Group meetings in the Hague approaching quickly, please find below some updates regarding ECOFEL:

 

  1. Ms. Liat Shetret is not anymore the ECOFEL Program Manager (EPM) and was replaced by Mr. Mark Van Thiel as the Interim EPM, starting June 17.
  2. During the Hague plenary meeting, the new EPM together with ECOFEL team members, intend to give in each Regional Group meeting an update on ECOFEL’s current work, specific region related activities (where applicable), and will introduce the critical HoFIUs Support and Assistance Mechanism (SAM) concept and will seek inputs from Egmont Group members.
  3. During the Hague plenary (Monday July 1 till Thursday July 4), ECOFEL will set up a lounge area where FIUs can discuss their needs for assistance with the ECOFEL team.
  4. To find out where we can further improve internal ECOFEL Governance procedures, a quick scan is currently under way. The objective of this scan is to detect areas for improvement in the ECOFEL governance structure. After this work is completed, we will start the procedure for hiring a permanent EPM.
