**Message on behalf of the PPWG Glossary Project Team**

Dear Heads of FIU,

We hope this email finds you well.

In November 2018 the PPWG decided to develop a Glossary of Key Egmont Group Terminology (Glossary). The Glossary was designed to offer clear and detailed definitions of terminology relevant to the Egmont Group and foundational to information exchange expectations, which at present may be subject to varying interpretations when used by FIUs for exchanging information. A full background of this work and its scope is available in the Background section of the attached document.

The PPWG Project Team set-up for this work is hereby seeking your comments (not for approval) to the 15 definitions included in the Glossary. The terms and concepts are the result of multiple brainstorming sessions conducted by PPWG membership in Sydney (2018), Jakarta and The Hague (2019) and Mauritius (2020).

The desired goal of this work is to reach consensus on how the Egmont Group will use and interpret the terms and concepts defined in the Glossary going forward, despite differing interpretations by FIUs in the past. If this consultation indicates that there may still be differences of opinion between Egmont members on how various terms are interpreted, PPWG may consider developing different terminology covering those interpretations that are different from the majority of Egmont FIUs.  

Your feedback by replying to this email before Friday, June 05th, 2020 is highly appreciated. The project team will update the document in consideration of your input and present an updated Glossary for PPWG’s consideration.
