I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for the warm welcome and kind wishes as I begin my tenure as Director and CEO at FINTRAC.
While it is still early days, I have already been very impressed by the professionalism and dedication of those involved in the global effort to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. I can assure you that both FINTRAC and I are committed to this worthy effort.

We are pleased to announce that Ms. Sarah Paquet has been appointed as Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), effective November 18th, 2020.
Ms. Paquet has served in a number of senior positions within the Canadian federal government, most recently as the Executive Vice-President at Shared Services Canada, where she led the modernization of the Government of Canada’s enterprise IT infrastructure and digital services across the federal government. Nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer la nomination de Mme Sarah Paquet au poste de directrice et présidente-directrice générale du Centre d’analyse des opérations et déclarations financières du Canada (CANAFE) à compter du 18 novembre 2020.
Mme Paquet a occupé plusieurs postes de direction au sein de la fonction publique fédérale. Elle assumait jusqu'à tout récemment les fonctions de première vice-présidente à Services partagés Canada, où elle a dirigé la modernisation de l’infrastructure des TI et des services numériques de l’ensemble du gouvernement fédéral. Elle possède une vaste expérience au sein d'organismes de réglementation, notamment Santé Canada et l’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments. Vous trouverez ci-joint la biographie de Mme Paquet.
