Dear Heads of FIUs,

 

We trust you are well.

 

As you know, our organization will select a new Chair during the 26th Egmont Group (EG) Plenary in The Hague, the Netherlands (1-5 July 2019). Consistent with the revised Terms of Reference and Selection Procedure for the Chair of the Egmont Group (document attached - para 14), you may find attached the Advisory Panel’s recommendation regarding the skills and experience of the eligible candidate.

 

Please note that, in line with the revised procedure, during the upcoming HoFIU meeting in The Hague (Wednesday, July 03rd), the following sequence of discussions will take place:
  • the Executive Secretary will make an oral presentation to the HoFIU about the selection process and the eligible candidate for the position of the EG Chair;
  • The eligible candidate will present himself and his vision for the EG to the HoFIU;
  • The Advisory Panel will make an oral presentation to the HoFIU about the advisory process, the Advisory Panel’s recommended candidate and basis for recommending that candidate.
  • The HoFIU will consider the recommended candidate of the Advisory Panel.
