An open letter signed by 23 privacy authorities from around the world, sent
to the operators of app marketplaces urging them to make links to privacy
policies mandatory for apps that collect personal information. The December
9, 2014, letter was sent to Apple, Google, Samsung, Microsoft, Nokia,
BlackBerry and Amazon.com, but was intended for all companies that operate
app marketplaces.

Also attached is a summary of the Canadian media coverage on the Joint
Letter. We encourage all participating authorities to post a summary of the
media attention received in your jurisdiction.
